واشنطن بوست : مبارك يظهرطريح الفراش في المحكمة
أطاح الرئيس المصري حسني مبارك ، وكان طريح الفراش وتبحث غث بعجلات في قفص من قاعة المحكمة فى القاهرة صباح اليوم الاربعاء بمحاكمتة بتهمة اصداره أوامر بشن قتل محتجين في وقت سابق من هذا العام.
يشهد ظهور المستبد السابق قاعة فى المحكمة الملايين من المصريين مرعوب من انعكاس الحظ للرجال الذين حكموا دول العالم العربي لثلاثة عقود بقبضة من حديد.
شكك كثير من المصريين أن الحكام العسكريين في البلاد المؤقتة ستضع رئيسهم السابق ، وقائد سلاح الجو السابق للمحاكمة. ولكن بعد شهور من الاحتجاجات في تصاعد مستمر ، جعل المجلس العسكري المصري بتعهداته لوضع زعيم البلاد منذ فترة طويلة للمحاكمة.
وكان مبارك لم يظهر علنا منذ ان القى خطابا متحديا يوم 10 فبراير ، متعهدا بانه لن يستقيل.وبعد يوم ، وقال انه سافر على عجل إلى منتجع شرم الشيخ بعد قادة العسكريين في البلاد أجبرته على الاستقالة.
وقد نقلوا الى المستشفى للزعيم السابق في شرم الشيخ لمدة شهور. وقال المحامي ان مبارك 83 عاما مريض جدا بحيث لا يمكن تقديمهم للمحاكمة ، ولكن وزير الصحة المصري مصدق عليه في الايام الاخيرة ان مبارك يصلح لهذه المحاكمة
ويحاكم الى جانب جمال مبارك ونجليه علاء والذين توجه إليهم تهمة الفساد. هو أيضا وزير الداخلية السابق حبيب العدلى يحاكم في هذه القضية الذي يزعم انه امر بقتل المحتجين. ويمكن الحكم على الرئيس مبارك بالاعدام اذا ادين في جريمة قتل المتظاهرين. كما انه يواجه اتهامات بالكسب غير المشروع.
أحضرت حوالي ساعة بعد دخول مبارك في قفص المحكمة في محفة في المستشفى ،ودخل رئيس المحكمة القاضي أحمد رفعت تأجيل جلسة الاستماع. وأزيلت المتهمين من القفص. لم يكن واضحا على الفور متى سيتم استئناف جلسة الاستماع.
قبل استدعاء وقت للراحة ، استمع رفعت من عدة محامين يمثلون أقارب القتيل من المتظاهرين. وشكا المحامون التي لم أقارب العديد من المتظاهرين قتلوا لم يسمح لهم بالدخول لقاعة المحكمة.
كما تم تأجيل جلسة الاستماع واندلعت الاشتباكت خارج قاعة المحكمة وما يبدو أن أنصار مبارك اشتبكوا مع رجال شرطة مكافحة الشغب. رمى الحجارة الجانبين المبارزة لدقائق قليلة ، حتى تدخلت قوات الامن لوقف القتال.
وردد الحشود المؤيدة لمبارك قبل المشاجرة اندلعت نحن هنا لأننا نحب والدنا ، لا يهم ما تفعله ونحن أولاده ، وسنقوم حمايته .
Hosni Mubarak, bedridden, appears in court
Ousted Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak, bedridden and looking sickly, was wheeled into the cage of a Cairo courtroom Wednesday morning to be put on trial for allegedly ordering the killing of protesters earlier this year.
The former autocrat's courtroom appearance gripped millions of Egyptians awestruck by the reversal of fortune of a man who ruled the Arab world's most populous nation for three decades with an iron fist.
Many Egyptians doubted that the country's interim military rulers would put their former boss, a former Air Force chief, on trial. But after months of intensifying protests, Egypt's military council made good on its promise to put the country's longtime leader on trial.
Mubarak had not been seen in public since he delivered a defiant speech on Feb. 10, vowing he would not resign. A day later, he hastily traveled to the resort town of Sharm el Sheikh after the country's military chiefs forced him to step down.
The former leader has been hospitalized in in Sharm el-Sheikh for months. Mubarak's lawyer has said the 83-year-old is too ill to be put on trial, but Egypt's health minister certified in recent days that Mubarak is fit enough for the proceedings.
Mubarak is being tried alongside his sons Gamal and Alaa, who are charged with corruption. Former interior minister Habib el Adly is also being tried in the case for allegedly ordering the killing of protesters. Mubarak could be sentenced to death if convicted in the slaying of demonstrators. He also faces graft charges.
About an hour after Mubarak was brought into the courtroom cage in a hospital stretcher, presiding Judge Ahmed Refaat adjourned the hearing. The defendants were removed from the cage. It was not immediately clear when the hearing will resume.
Before calling for a break, Refaat heard from several lawyers representing relatives of slain demonstrators. The attorneys complained that many relatives of killed protesters had not been allowed inside the courtroom.
As the hearing was adjourned clashed broke out outside the courtroom as groups that appeared to be Mubarak supporters clashed with riot police officers. The dueling sides threw rocks for a few minutes, until security forces intervened to stop the fight.
We are here because we love our father, the pro-Mubarak crowd chanted before the melee broke out. No matter what you do we're his children and we'll protect him.
